Code of Conduct
Under the Localism Act 2011, Plaxtol Parish Council is under a duty to promote and maintain high standards of conduct and to adopt a Code of Conduct for its elected Councillors based on the principles of standards in public life. The Parish Council complies with this duty by having adopted the same Code as Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council (the principal authority). The adopted code is the Kent Code of Conduct, which was adopted by the Parish Council in August 2012.
The Kent Code of Conduct has been revised and, in line with TMBC, Plaxtol Parish Council formally adopted the revised Code in June 2022.
A copy of the Kent Code of Conduct is available below.
The register of disclosable pecuniary interests of members of the Parish Council is available for inspection at Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council offices at Gibson Building, Kings Hill and on the TMBC and Parish Council websites.
